Adjunct Prof. Dr. Arun Kasi
Dr. Arun Kasi is a highly experienced barrister in maritime and shipping law, known for his regular involvement in complex cross-border disputes. He is consistently ranked by Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500 Asia Pacific for shipping practice in Malaysia, where he founded Arun Kasi & Co, a specialist firm in the field. His client base includes P&I Clubs, marine insurers and major commercial law firms in London and globally.
He is the author of significant works in shipping law, notably "The Law of Carriage of Goods by Sea" (Springer, 2021), alongside more than 50 published articles. He is recognised on prominent arbitrator panels, lists, and databases, including the LCIA, HKIAC, and AIAC.
He has conducted shipping arbitrations across various jurisdictions including London, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia and Brunei, under various rules such as LMAA, SCMA, CIARB, AIAC, and ad hoc arbitrations.
