The Lexology PRO practical resources are drafted and maintained by qualified lawyers and consultants who have experience in relevant practice areas and jurisdictions.  Our in-house team of solicitors have previously worked in private practice and in-house in a range of practice areas and are responsible for the creation and maintenance of our practical resources.  Our team also works closely with various external lawyers and consultants in key jurisdictions ensuring our content is of the highest standard and that it supports in-house and private practice lawyers globally in their legal research and daily practice.

Liesl Haldane (solicitor)

Lead Knowledge Development Lawyer

Liesl joined Law Business Research in 2020 tasked with building LBR’s practical resource product. Previously Liesl worked as a professional support lawyer at Lexis Nexis, developing and building the In-House Advisor Module. Prior to that she was the commercial affairs legal director at Royal Mail providing legal advice and advising on risk to the core commercial business.

Liesl is a dual qualified solicitor with over 20 years' experience and has practised as a corporate and commercial lawyer in private practice and in-house both in London and South Africa.

Lisa Woodfield (solicitor)

Senior Knowledge Development Lawyer

Lisa joined Law Business Research in 2022 having previously spent over a decade working in private practice in various firms specialising in Competition and EU Regulatory law. Lisa has experience advising on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on cartel investigations. She is a solicitor with over 10 years' experience and has a masters degree in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.

Lisa also has experience of white-collar crime matters, including SFO investigations and Bribery Act compliance.

Emma Allchurch (solicitor)

Knowledge Development Lawyer

Emma joined Law Business Research in 2022. She is a solicitor with more than 10 years' experience and previously worked at Eversheds Sutherland, specialising in employment law. Emma is experienced in advising clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, including disciplinary matters, discrimination complaints and TUPE. Emma has represented many respondent clients in employment tribunal claims and is also experienced in dealing with transactional and international matters.

Emma has also advised clients in relation to modern slavery issues, including preparation of modern slavery statements.

Maeve Curley (solicitor)

Knowledge Development Lawyer

Maeve joined Law Business Research in 2022, having previously worked at aosphere, as part of the marketing restrictions team analysing the law and regulation applicable to global marketing and selling of financial products and services. She has more than 15 years of experience in private practice and in-house with a particular interest in financial services regulation.

Maeve has a master’s in law from Queens University, Belfast.
