Maya joined Latin Lawyer in February 2024 as a Trainee Reporter. She has a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies and an MSc in Globalisation and Latin American Development from University College London. She has travelled extensively across Latin America, and spent two months in Colombia last year conducting fieldwork research for her masters. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese and some French.
